How can you determine your birthstone?

How to Determine the Birthstone Based on the Zodiac Sign

Whether as a sparkling pendant on a necklace, part of a laser, or a bearing stone in a watch movement—gemstones have fascinated people for centuries and are now used in many areas. Those who delve deeply into these materials usually cannot ignore birthstones or monthly stones, which are closely linked to the zodiac signs.

The origins of this theory can be traced back to the Middle Ages—gemstones were already attributed with special properties back then. Therefore, they were not only worn as jewelry, but people also saw them as constant companions that protected them from dangers or even had healing powers. With the introduction of the Gregorian calendar, a specific stone was eventually assigned to each month. It is believed that this birthstone brings happiness to those born in that month or is an ideal lucky charm.

At the same time, this concept was linked with astrological knowledge, as each month is also assigned a zodiac sign. The birth or monthly stones are thus also supposed to support the strengths of the respective zodiac sign.
But which stone is assigned to which month, and what do the birthstones represent? Let's look at this in this article.

Determining the birthstone: The birth month provides clues
If you want to find out your own birthstone or that of a loved one, all you need is the birth month. These jewels are also seen as healing stones. They are therefore not only used as talismans but also in therapies, as many people believe there is more to them than science can prove.
