‘Pearl with a Soul’?
The Pearl with a Soul was developed to provide an affordable alternative to our personalised memorial gemstones. Each pearl is handcrafted from ceramic and takes on its own personal significance through the inclusion of elements from a loved one or pet.
You can easily personalise it yourself – in the comfort of your own home. There’s no need to send either ashes or hair to MEVISTO. Even a very small amount of ashes or a few strands of hair are enough to turn the bead into your unique memento.
The mini-lab turns the personalisation process into a special ritual. In around 15 minutes, the elements are extracted from the ashes or hair and incorporated into the bead – a quiet, personal moment that you can experience alone or together with your loved ones.
The result is not only a loving memento, but also a particularly thoughtful gift – for anyone who wishes to cherish a memory of a loved one or a soulmate animal forever.
How the
‘Pearl with a Soul’ works
First, you’ll need a small strand of hair from your favourite person, a little fur from your spirit animal, or a tiny amount of ashes – it can be any hair that’s close to your heart. Open the packaging of your Pearl with a Soul and take out the instructions. Place the strand of hair or the ashes in the mini-lab.
Then follow a few simple steps until the material breaks down into its constituent elements. The resulting liquid is full of your very own personal elements. It is carefully poured into your ceramic bead – and from then on, your bead is a truly personal piece of jewelry.
The ceramic beads are personalized using a 2–3 cm strand of hair or a knife-tip’s worth of ashes. In the mini-lab, the elements are filtered out of the material and bound in a liquid, which is sufficient to personalize up to five beads. The resulting liquid is inserted into your bead to create a personalized piece of jewelry that reminds you of your loved ones every day.

If the temperature indicator strip does not turn blue, simply allow the process to continue for 30 minutes instead of 15. The heat only serves to speed up the extraction of the elements—the extraction process itself remains the same and will still work as intended.
In most cases, one of the built-in safety mechanisms has been activated, usually due to incorrect handling.
There is no need to worry—even if you no longer have any ashes or hair left, we can still extract the elements directly from the Mini Lab at our facility.
Simply contact us and send us the Mini Lab, together with the Pearl with Soul you would like to personalize. Alternatively, we will be happy to send you a new Mini Lab as quickly as possible so you can try the process again.
Only temporarily. Because the pearl is made of ceramic, its color may change slightly while it is absorbing the personalized solution. This temporary discoloration is completely normal.
Once the pearl has dried, it will return to its original color, with no lasting change to the appearance of the jewelry.
We recommend that you do not. To help protect the personalized elements inside the pearl, it is best to remove your jewelry before showering, bathing, or swimming.
The Pearl with Soul is set in high-quality gold-plated or rhodium-plated sterling silver. Like all sterling silver jewelry, it can tarnish over time and is sensitive to water, chemicals, perfumes, lotions, and perspiration.
To preserve the beauty of your keepsake for years to come, we recommend storing it in a dry, protected place when not wearing it and avoiding unnecessary exposure to moisture or harsh substances.
