What is the
‘Pearl with a Soul’?
The Pearl with a Soul was developed to provide an affordable alternative to our personalised memorial gemstones. Each pearl is handcrafted from ceramic and takes on its own personal significance through the inclusion of elements from a loved one or pet.
You can easily personalise it yourself – in the comfort of your own home. There’s no need to send either ashes or hair to MEVISTO. Even a very small amount of ashes or a few strands of hair are enough to turn the bead into your unique memento.
The mini-lab turns the personalisation process into a special ritual. In around 15 minutes, the elements are extracted from the ashes or hair and incorporated into the bead – a quiet, personal moment that you can experience alone or together with your loved ones.
The result is not only a loving memento, but also a particularly thoughtful gift – for anyone who wishes to cherish a memory of a loved one or a soulmate animal forever.
How
the ‘Pearl with a Soul’ works
First, you’ll need a small strand of hair from your favourite person, a little fur from your spirit animal, or a tiny amount of ashes – it can be any hair that’s close to your heart. Open the packaging of your Pearl with a Soul and take out the instructions. Place the strand of hair or the ashes in the mini-lab.
Then follow a few simple steps until the material breaks down into its constituent elements. The resulting liquid is full of your very own personal elements. It is carefully poured into your ceramic bead – and from then on, your bead is a truly personal piece of jewellery.
The ceramic beads are personalised using a 2–3 cm strand of hair or a knife-tip’s worth of ashes. In the mini-lab, the elements are filtered out of the material and bound in a liquid, which is sufficient to personalise up to five beads. The resulting liquid is inserted into your bead to create a personalised piece of jewellery that reminds you of your loved ones every day.

Die Perle mit Seele wurde unter zwei Voraussetzungen von MEVISTO entwickelt: 1. suchten wir nach einer preiswerteren Möglichkeit, seine Liebsten bei sich tragen zu können. Egal, wo man sich befindet. 2. Wollten wir erreichen, dass man die Personalisierung selber durchführen kann.
Die Perle mit Seele ist eine handgefertige Keramikperle, welche in Silber vergoldet oder rhodiniert gefasst ist. Sie ist ebenso als Armband erhältlich, eine schöne Variante für Herren. Denn manche Männer tragen ungern Farbedelsteine - hier bietet sich dieses Armband mit der schwarzen Perle als Alternative an.
Das ist normal und kein Mangel: Die „Black Vulcano" ist aus schwarzer Keramik
gefertigt und anfangs heller – mit der Zeit färbt sie sich dunkler. Sie ähnelt
optisch und haptisch Lavagestein. Möchtest Du sie schneller dunkel, kannst Du
die Perle jederzeit mit etwas Leinöl einölen. Da Keramik ein lebendiges
Material ist, kann sich die unglasierte Oberfläche optisch verändern; regelmäßiges
Benetzen mit Leinöl beugt dem Ergrauen vor.
Meist wurde eine der Sicherheitsbarrieren aktiviert, etwa durch falsche Handhabung. Kein Grund zur Sorge – auch wenn kein Material (Asche oder Haar) mehr übrig ist: Wir können die Elemente bei uns im Haus aus dem Mini-Labor herauslösen. Kontaktiere uns am besten und sende uns das Mini-Labor samt der zu personalisierenden Perle. Andernfalls schicken wir Dir so schnell wie möglich ein neues Mini-Labor für einen weiteren Versuch zu.
Wir hatten über unseren Bestatter die Möglichkeit Schmuckstücke bei Mephisto zu bestellen. Ich möchte betonen, dass die Auslieferung sehr würdig erfolgt ist - in einem individuell angefertigten Holzkästchen mit persönlicher Widmung aller involvierten Mitarbeiter. Die Bearbeitungszeit war sehr lange. Sonst alles top.
