The Production Team and Their Tasks in Profile

The people who come to work with us every day—these are the ones who make our company what it is. It is their passion and drive that are embedded in all our products. That's why we introduce these people to you in our series "Behind the Scenes." This time, we focus on Mevisto's production area, having spoken with the team responsible for creating the gemstones, and we share their additional tasks with you. Let's get started!

In the Midst of Gemstone Production

We fondly refer to our production team as the "Gemstone Team" because no one is closer to our shimmering sapphires and rubies ([link](https://www.mevisto.com/de/edelsteine/)) than this colorful crew. For gemstone production and cutting, we at Mevisto have even designed special facilities. In these large areas, equipped with various modern machines and devices, eight people work daily on the heart of Mevisto.

What does that entail? First, they receive the biogenic material, such as the ashes or hair, from which the personalized piece of jewelry will be created. Specific elements are then extracted from this material. These elements vary from person to person or from animal to animal, making each gemstone we produce unique.

This essence is then prepared for the next production step: crystal growth. Our Mevisto production team grows the sapphires and rubies in specially developed crystal cultivation units.

Once the sparkling gemstones have reached their final size, they are cut. There are numerous cuts ([link](https://www.mevisto.com/de/edelsteine/die-schliffe/)) to choose from, ranging from the timeless and elegant "Day Dreamer" to the romantic "The Heart." Finally, the jewelry pieces are packaged and shipped.

High Standards, Unique Experiences

One of the biggest challenges is that we at Mevisto are the only company worldwide that produces personalized sapphires and rubies that carry the essence of a person or animal. This means that our standards are very high.

We want to offer our customers optimal products, so we have not only acquired the necessary know-how but also independently designed all the processes required. All of this is continuously developed and improved. In other words, we leave no (gem)stone unturned.

New cuts and jewelry variations are constantly being added, and we continuously optimize our processes. Where do we get the strength and motivation for this? It's simple: we love what we do. Working with gemstones never loses its fascination. Or as our production team at Mevisto puts it: "Creating a personalized sapphire or ruby is always a unique experience."
