Mevisto and LINZ AG FUNERAL HOME cooperate: Free urn grave at the cemetery for 10 years

For a new project we at Mevisto are joining forces with LINZ AG FUNERAL HOME / the metropolitan cemetery of Linz/St. Martin – and we do so with great pride. That is because this collaboration offers our customers exceptional final resting place options. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to this project.

Final resting place in an urn grave at the Linz/St. Martin municipal cemetery

573,000 square meters. That is the size of the Linz/St. Martin municipal cemetery. This vast square footage makes it the largest cemetery in Linz. It was erected in 1943 – with World War II still raging – outside of the city in a southwestern district named Gfreretholz. The first funeral took place in 1945, while the entrance buildings were built in 1965. The 1990s later saw the addition of a new farewell hall, while the cemetery was expanded by a funeral parlor in 2008. While the plot of the site was located far outside the city at the time of construction, the cemetery is now part of the Trauner city district of St. Martin and offers a home to 11,000 in-ground and urn graves. And, something else has changed as well: The cemetery recently added a dedicated area that is adorned by a four-meter gemstone from our production and by a field of flowers. We have named it the “Stone of Eternity”. This resting place is specially reserved for Mevisto customers. But, that is not all: This collaboration is making it possible for us to offer our customers an urn grave free of charge for ten years - effective immediately. As a burial is often expensive, we believe that this opportunity is a wonderful and affordable alternative.

When enthusiasm turns into a joint project

How did this cooperation come to live? Not long ago we had the pleasure of welcoming the team of the LINZ AG FUNERAL HOME at Mevisto in Kirchham and give them a behind-the-scenes look of our wide range of activity wide range of activity. The fascination was tremendous. And immediately encouraged everyone to hatch plans for a joint project. The idea has now become reality. And we could not be happier.

Mevisto urn grave: This is how it works

Would you like to reserve an urn grave for a relative or for yourself when the time comes? Then you will have to submit a letter of intent. It should be included with the necessary documents, such as the birth certificate. The sooner you express your request in writing the better. This is because it may already be too late if this notice is not revealed until the reading of your will as the funeral usually takes place before the opening of the will. On the order form you will find the item “Urn grave at the Stone of Eternity”. Simply check the “Yes” option at this item, and we will touch base with you to sort out all further details and provide you with the key information on how the gemstone is manufactured. By the way, you can also reserve a family grave at the “Stone of Eternity”. After a period of ten years, the surviving family members can either leave the grave open or renew the lease for additional years.
